1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy protects families, third parties and the Your Story. Your Song. brand. It applies to every song brief, comment and interaction with our service.
2. Prohibited content
You must not request, submit or attempt to create content that:
- infringes third-party intellectual property, including copyrighted characters (e.g. superheroes, movie or game characters), brands or logos;
- imitates the distinctive voice, name or style of a real, living artist;
- references or targets real public figures (politicians, celebrities, athletes);
- contains hate speech, harassment, discrimination, defamation or bullying;
- is sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate, especially in relation to children;
- promotes illegal activity, self-harm, weapons or drugs;
- includes another person's sensitive personal data without a lawful basis; or
- is intended to deceive, impersonate or mock any individual.
3. Our Family-Safe process
Every request passes through our Family-Safe process: guided creation from friendly options, automated screening of inputs and generated lyrics, intellectual-property protection, and quality checks. Where a request references protected characters, we transform it into an original, inspired theme (for example, "brave superhero" instead of a named character) or politely decline it. Human review is reserved for exceptions.
4. Consequences of breach
If a request breaches this policy we may edit it into a safe alternative, decline or cancel it (without refund where the breach is attributable to you), remove content, suspend or terminate the account, and, where required, report unlawful content to the authorities.
